Chronic migraines are categorized as someone who experiences 15 or more migraines within a month, and it severely diminishes their quality of life. Sensitivity to light, intense throbbing or pulsing in the head, and even nausea and vomiting are common symptoms that accompany a migraine. Sometimes, the presence of these migraines make it so people can’t even go about their everyday life; going to work, school, taking care of their kids etc. are all disrupted.
The suicide rate for chronic migraine sufferers is through the roof, many sufferers admit to having tried to take their own life to end the pain. Fortunately, physical therapy can be a huge help when dealing with chronic migraines. After being evaluated, each patient can find a set of exercises and stress relievers that will help them personally. Additionally, applying ice to the areas that are throbbing can be very helpful. Issues within the jaw and the neck can be common denominators when dealing with chronic headaches.
